The Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia

Located in one of the most important neoclassical buildings in Barcelona, where the spectacular anatomical amphitheater built by Ventura Rodríguez in 1760 stands out.

It was used for the training of military surgeons and its history was enriched as it transformed the building into a Faculty of Medicine until it reached to Royal Academy.

Its past is linked to personalities such as Pere Virgili, Antoni de Gimbernat or Santiago Ramón y Cajal.
